Best glute augmentation in Brasília: comparing the options
The best glute augmentation depends on what is missing: volume, firmness or skin quality. Hyaluronic acid, biostimulators and Lipocube fat are compared by indication, with the safety plane and price ranges in reais.
Agendar ConsultaShort answer: the best route depends on what the buttock is missing
There is no single best glute augmentation: the right route follows what is actually missing — volume, firmness or skin quality — plus whether there is donor fat and whether you accept surgery. In Brasília, Dr. Thiago Perfeito (CRM-DF 23199, INTI clinic, Lago Sul) performs three non-surgical routes: high-density body hyaluronic acid, collagen biostimulators and Lipocube autologous fat grafting, and he does not perform surgical BBL or buttock implants.
Searches such as "best BBL in Brazil" mix very different things. A surgical Brazilian butt lift and a buttock implant are operations. Body hyaluronic acid and biostimulators are injectables. Lipocube is a small-volume fat graft done as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia. They do not compete on the same terms, so a ranking of "best" only makes sense once the goal is named. This page compares the routes by indication and states plainly which ones the clinic offers and which it does not.
Choosing the physician is a separate question, with its own criteria: how to verify a licence, what to ask about technique and what price signals to distrust. That is covered in how to choose a glute doctor in Brazil, and this page does not repeat it. Here the question is narrower: which technique fits which buttock.
Dr. Thiago Perfeito has no commercial relationship with any manufacturer mentioned on this page. Product names appear only inside their category, as examples of the class, and never as a recommendation of a brand.
The options side by side
The table below sorts each route by the goal it serves. Fees are ranges at the INTI clinic in Brasília, in reais; the exact figure is set only after an in-person assessment. Surgical routes are shown for comparison and carry no clinic price because they are not performed there.
| Goal / indication | Option | How it works | Range at the INTI clinic |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume and projection without surgery, no donor fat needed | High-density body hyaluronic acid (e.g. UPmax, Sofiderm) | Volumising hyaluronic acid placed to add shape; dosed in mL; can be dissolved with hyaluronidase | R$ 18,000–55,000 per cycle |
| Firmness, laxity, skin quality, cellulite | Collagen biostimulators (e.g. Radiesse, Sculptra) | Stimulate the body to produce collagen over months; not an immediate volume filler | R$ 2,900–3,900 per box; at least 1 box per side, ideally 2–4 per side, 5–6 per side for marked laxity or cellulite |
| Small-to-moderate volume using your own tissue | Lipocube autologous fat grafting | Small fat harvest (up to about 250 mL), regenerative processing that preserves the stromal vascular fraction, injected in the subcutaneous plane only, cannula of 4 mm or more | R$ 30,000–50,000 per protocol; single area about R$ 30,000–35,000 |
| Large-volume augmentation | Surgical BBL | Liposuction and large-volume fat transfer in an operating room | Not performed at the clinic; assessment and referral |
| Permanent solid projection | Buttock implants | Silicone implant placed surgically | Not performed at the clinic; assessment and referral |
| Never an option | PMMA, biopolymers, liquid silicone | Permanent, non-removable injectables | Never performed |
Two habits protect the patient when reading any price list. First, ask which class the product belongs to: a hyaluronic acid, a biostimulator and a fat graft are priced by completely different logic. Second, treat a fee far below these ranges as a warning sign. Volume is bought by the mL, the box or the protocol, and a price that does not fit that arithmetic often means dilution, splitting one vial between patients, or inexperience. The clinic works with traceable, Anvisa-registered products and does not fractionate a vial across patients.
Body hyaluronic acid: volume and projection
High-density body hyaluronic acid is the injectable route for a patient who wants shape and projection and does not have, or does not want to use, donor fat. It is a volumising filler, not a biostimulator: it works because the gel itself occupies space, so the effect is visible on the day and is planned in mL. Products of this class, such as UPmax and Sofiderm, are the examples used at the clinic, chosen for the indication rather than the label.
Its practical advantages are that it does not require a donor area, it suits slim patients, and it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if a correction is needed. Its practical limit is durability: hyaluronic acid is reabsorbable, so the result is not permanent, and a larger volume means a larger fee. In the clinic's range, a cycle runs from R$ 18,000 to R$ 55,000, where the position depends on how many mL the buttock needs.
The clinical approach is staged rather than one large session. The aim is a natural-looking contour, with the volume built in steps and re-assessed, and the buttock assessed in person before any number is proposed. Dr. Thiago Perfeito has performed more than 300 glute filler cases and more than 10,000 procedures in total.
This route fits best when the complaint is flatness, lack of projection or asymmetry and the skin is still reasonably firm. When the main complaint is laxity or cellulite, adding volume alone can look heavy, and the biostimulator route below is usually the better match. The non-surgical buttock lift page describes how these injectable options are combined in a plan.
Collagen biostimulators: firmness and skin quality
Collagen biostimulators serve a different goal. Radiesse (calcium hydroxylapatite) and Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid) are used as examples of the class. Instead of filling space immediately, they stimulate the tissue to build collagen over months, so they suit a buttock or thigh whose problem is firmness, skin quality or cellulite rather than missing volume. A practical guide by twelve experienced injectors, published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal in 2022, describes hyper-diluted calcium hydroxylapatite used across several body areas, buttocks and thighs included, and notes that more dilution means a more superficial, wider pattern aimed at collagen and elastin, while undiluted product is used for volume. That paper is practical guidance from a continuing medical education programme, not a controlled trial, and it should be read as such.
Dosing is by the box. At the clinic the range is R$ 2,900–3,900 per box, with at least one box per side, ideally two to four per side, and five to six per side when laxity or cellulite is marked. As an arithmetic example only, three boxes per side is six boxes, or R$ 17,400 to R$ 23,400 at that range; it is not a package and the real number depends on the assessment.
The video below explains the biology of Sculptra and Radiesse, two collagen biostimulators. Dr. Thiago Perfeito has no commercial relationship with either manufacturer.
The trade-off is speed and predictability. A biostimulator does not give the immediate, mL-measured volume of hyaluronic acid, and the result develops progressively, often over more than one session. In exchange, it improves the quality of the tissue itself. Many plans combine the two classes: hyaluronic acid for shape, biostimulator for firmness. The dedicated page on buttock biostimulators in Brasília goes deeper into dosing and sessions.
Lipocube: volume with your own fat — and the safety plane
Lipocube is autologous fat grafting: fat is harvested in a small quantity (up to about 250 mL, a harvest closer to a mini-liposuction than to traditional liposuction), processed with a regenerative protocol that preserves the stromal vascular fraction, and injected where volume is wanted. It is done as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia, with no operating room and no general anaesthesia, and it is meant for small-to-moderate volumes. It is not cryolipolysis, not an ultrasound device and not aesthetic liposuction: the harvest is small and exists to supply the graft. At the clinic the range is R$ 30,000–50,000 per protocol, with a single area about R$ 30,000–35,000.
The reason to choose it is simple: the material is your own tissue, and the same session takes fat from an area that has some to spare. The limit is equally simple: it needs a donor area and a stable weight, and it does not replace the large volumes of a surgical BBL. The reason to choose Lipocube is the graft itself and its safety plane, not a promise of regenerative effect.
The glute is where fat grafting becomes a safety question. A survey of 692 surgeons in Aesthetic Surgery Journal in 2017 (the ASERF task force) covered 198,857 cases and recorded 32 deaths and 103 non-fatal fat embolisms over the respondents' careers; injection into deep muscle was associated with a significantly higher incidence, and the recommendations were to avoid deep muscle injection, avoid cannulas smaller than 4 mm and avoid pointing the cannula downward. It is a survey with autopsy data, not a trial, but it is the basis for the rule the clinic follows: in the glute, fat goes only in the subcutaneous plane, with a cannula of 4 mm or more.
A 2022 practice advisory in the same journal adds process rules, such as documenting the cannula position with ultrasound before and during injection and capping the number of BBLs a surgeon does in a day because of fatigue and distraction. A 2019 critical review in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery found that most events after fat grafting to the breast and buttock are fat necrosis that is simple to manage, that larger volumes bring more of it, and that fat embolism is the rarer serious complication in glute augmentation, which proper technique may help minimise.
For the full description of the protocol see Lipocube fat transfer in Brasília and Lipocube body contouring.
Surgical BBL, implants and what never to inject
Dr. Thiago Perfeito does not perform body surgery: no liposuction, no abdominoplasty, no surgical BBL of large volume and no buttock implants. When a patient's goal is a large augmentation, the correct conduct is to assess the case and refer, and this page describes those options only so that the comparison is fair.
Comparative data on the two surgical routes come from a 2023 systematic review of 15 studies in the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery. For implants (524 procedures) the overall complication rate was 25%, with wound dehiscence 9.16%, palpable implant 5.92% and seroma 3.82%. For fat grafting (1,788 procedures) it was 13%, with seroma 6.9%, infection 3.0% and transient sciatic paraesthesia 1.0%. The authors concluded that fat carries fewer complications than implants, but that it can be far more dangerous when key recommendations are not followed. Those recommendations are the ones above: the plane and the cannula.
| Route | Strength | Main risk described in the sources |
|---|---|---|
| Buttock implant | Solid, predictable projection | Overall complication rate 25%; dehiscence, palpability, seroma |
| Gluteal fat grafting (surgical series) | Large volume plus contouring of the surroundings | Overall complication rate 13% across 1,788 procedures; fat embolism risk with deep-muscle injection |
| Lipocube (small volume, subcutaneous plane) | Own tissue, outpatient, local anaesthesia | Fat necrosis rises with volume; needs donor fat |
The numbers above come from surgical series and are a comparison, not a measure of the clinic's results. They cannot be applied directly to a small-volume outpatient graft.
One category is excluded outright: PMMA, biopolymers and liquid silicone are never used. These are permanent and cannot be removed reliably. If a clinic offers a "permanent filler" for the buttock at a low price, that is the red flag to walk away from. Patients who already have such material should be assessed before any other procedure is planned.
Who is a candidate, and planning a visit from abroad
The route is chosen at an in-person assessment that measures what is missing, the quality and laxity of the skin, the infragluteal fold, weight history and available donor fat. In broad terms: flatness with firm skin points to hyaluronic acid; laxity or cellulite points to a biostimulator; a patient with donor fat who wants their own tissue points to Lipocube; a request for large volume points to a referral. Weight should be stable before any route, and medicines that affect clotting are reviewed first.
The plan is progressive, in stages, and the buttock is reassessed between them; "programmed, not random" treatment is Dr. Thiago Perfeito's stated approach. The consultation can be held in English, and international patients can also read the page on non-surgical BBL for diplomats and expatriates, which explains scheduling. Because the biostimulator and staged hyaluronic routes may need more than one session, ask at the consultation how many visits the plan needs before booking travel. Sudden shortness of breath, chest pain or confusion after any buttock procedure is an emergency and needs the nearest hospital immediately.

Frequently asked questions about glute augmentation in Brasília
What is the best glute augmentation in Brasília?
It depends on the goal. Body hyaluronic acid is chosen for volume and projection, collagen biostimulators for firmness and cellulite, and Lipocube autologous fat grafting for small-to-moderate volume with your own tissue. Dr. Thiago Perfeito (CRM-DF 23199, INTI clinic, Lago Sul) performs these three and does not perform surgical BBL or implants.
Is there a non-surgical BBL in Brazil?
Yes, the term is used for injectable routes that give shape without an operating room: high-density body hyaluronic acid and biostimulators, and a small-volume outpatient fat graft with Lipocube. It does not replace the large volumes of a surgical BBL. In Brasília, Dr. Thiago Perfeito has performed more than 300 glute filler cases.
BBL vs hyaluronic acid buttock: which is better?
They serve different goals. A surgical BBL transfers a large volume of fat in an operating room and is not performed at the INTI clinic. Body hyaluronic acid adds volume without donor fat or surgery, is dosed in mL and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, but it is reabsorbable. A 2023 systematic review found 13% overall complications for fat grafting and 25% for implants.
How much does glute augmentation cost in Brasília?
At the INTI clinic, body hyaluronic acid runs R$ 18,000–55,000 per cycle, biostimulators R$ 2,900–3,900 per box (ideally 2–4 boxes per side), and Lipocube R$ 30,000–50,000 per protocol. A price far below these ranges is a warning sign of dilution, a vial split between patients or inexperience. The exact fee is set after an in-person assessment.
Is Lipocube the same as a Brazilian butt lift?
No. Lipocube is autologous fat grafting done as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia, for small-to-moderate volumes, with regenerative processing that preserves the stromal vascular fraction. A surgical BBL is a large-volume operation. In the glute, Lipocube fat goes only in the subcutaneous plane with a cannula of 4 mm or more.
Why does the injection plane matter for buttock fat grafting?
Fat injected into the deep muscle was associated with a significantly higher rate of fatal and non-fatal pulmonary fat embolism. A 2017 survey of 692 surgeons reported 32 deaths and 103 non-fatal embolisms over their careers and recommended avoiding deep muscle injection and cannulas smaller than 4 mm. The clinic grafts fat only in the subcutaneous plane.
Do you use PMMA or silicone for the buttocks?
Never. PMMA, biopolymers and liquid silicone are permanent and cannot be removed reliably. Dr. Thiago Perfeito uses only reabsorbable or biological routes: hyaluronic acid, collagen biostimulators and the patient's own fat.
How can I check a glute doctor's credentials in Brazil?
Search the physician's name and CRM number at cfm.org.br under physician search and confirm the licence is active. Dr. Thiago Perfeito is CRM-DF 23199. Also ask which products are used, whether vials are shared between patients and which techniques the doctor does not perform; the full checklist is in the glute doctor guide.
